BuildBaseKit policy

Product License

This licence applies to paid BuildBaseKit source-code products unless a product package includes a different written licence. Open-source products remain governed by their repository licences.

Licence grant

One purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to one individual or one legal entity. The licensed source may be modified and used in unlimited internal, commercial, SaaS, and client projects owned or controlled by that licensee.

Employees and contractors may access the source only while working on permitted projects for the licensee and must not retain or reuse it independently.

Permitted end-product use

  • build and operate applications for the licensee
  • build commercial or SaaS products that use the source as part of a larger application
  • modify the source for permitted applications
  • deliver finished applications to clients
  • deploy permitted applications to private or production environments

A finished application may be sold or provided to a client. The client receives the finished application, not a separate right to extract, reuse, or redistribute the underlying BuildBaseKit boilerplate.

Prohibited source-code redistribution

  • redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the raw boilerplate
  • publish the source or a substantially similar version in a public repository
  • offer the source as another starter kit, boilerplate, template, or competing product
  • share the source with another individual or entity outside permitted employees and contractors
  • transfer the licence or purchase access to another person or organization

Changing names, packaging, structure, or a limited portion of the source does not make redistribution of a substantially similar boilerplate permissible.

Ownership and third-party software

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of BuildBaseKit branding, documentation, or original boilerplate source. Third-party open-source dependencies retain their own licences and notices.

Termination

The licence terminates if the licensee violates the redistribution or resale restrictions and does not promptly cure a curable violation after notice. After termination, use and distribution of the commercial source must stop, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
